Park Geon-ho, 8th dan, reached the top of the Crown Haitai Cup and won his first title.
The Park Geon-ho defeated Seol Hyeon-jun, 8th Dan, in 250 moves in the final 3rd round of the 2023 Crown Haitai Cup final held at the Korea Baduk TV Studio in Majang-ro, Seongdong-gu on the 7th.
Park Geon-ho, who reached the top of the competition with an overall record of 2-1,

took the lead after the middle of the game and took the lead.
Park Geon-ho, who resisted Seol Hyun-jun’s fierce pursuit in the second half,
widened the gap to the extent that the artificial intelligence (AI) predicted win rate reached 99% and surrendered.
Park Geon-ho, who shook off the disappointment of only finishing runner-up in this competition last year said,
“It was not an easy final series to get to the final country, but I am very happy to win.”
He added, “I won the 5th Swiss League Zero competition at Crown Haitai during my rookie days when there were not many matches.
“I had a lot of opportunities to practice because it was open, and thanks to that,
I was able to grow so well and finish with a win,
so I’m thankful for this competition in many ways,” he said.
The Crown Haitai Cup is a new competition in which professional players under the age of 25 (born after 1998) participate.
The winner’s prize is 30 million won, and the runner-up prize is 12 million won.
The time limit is 20 minutes per person plus 20 seconds of additional time based on time accumulation.
Geon-ho Park, born in 1998, had the pleasure of winning the Crown Haitai Cup, which was his last opportunity to participate, and was promoted to 9th dan.
