‘Kang Isul’s 22 points’ leads KB to 21-point win over BNK in women’s basketball

The Cheongju KB of the Korean Women’s Professional Basketball League extended its winning streak to two games with a 21-point victory over Busan BNK.

KB defeated BNK 83-62 in an away game of the Woori Bank Woori WON 2023-2024 regular season at Sajik Gymnasium in Busan on Tuesday afternoon.

Last season’s runner-up, BNK (4-2-3), lost its home opener this season after giving KB (2-4-1) the upper hand from the start.

KB distributed the ball around Park Ji-soo under the basket, while Yoon Yoon-ah and Heo Ye-eun chipped in with three points apiece.

BNK, on the other hand, struggled to score in the first quarter with their worst shooting percentage, attempting 12 shots and only hitting four of them at the rim.

KB further widened the gap in the second quarter, with Lee Chae-eun, Yoon Yoon-ah, and others scoring evenly, led by Kang Seul.

Entering the third quarter with a 42-24 lead, BNK tried to make a late run through Ahn Hye-ji and Jin-an, but a reignited KB Kang-isul scored 10 points, including two three-pointers, to keep BNK away.

With a huge 67-43 lead, KB called both Kang-isul and Heo Ye-eun to the bench at the start of the fourth quarter, and BNK responded with Jin-an to close the metallurgical gap.

However, KB brought the momentum back with a three-pointer from Lee Chae-eun with 4:21 left in the game, and a three-pointer from Sung Hye-kyung cracked the rim with two minutes left in the game to effectively put the game out of reach.

KB was led by Kang Isul with 22 points and Heo Ye-eun with 14 points and five assists.

Park Ji-soo played only about 17 minutes and had six points and eight rebounds.

BNK was led by Jin An with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Ahn Hye-ji with 15 points and seven assists, but was held to just 12 points as star player Lee So-hee missed all seven of her three-pointers. 토토사이트
